Sir

I shall keep back the sheet which contains the greater part of Macclesfield, a little while, perhaps a fortnight, for the purpose of supplying one or two names & dates: one of these possibly you may be more successful than Mr. Brown in Your endeavour to find out; the name of the present owner of Downes (now as I understand no longer calld a Manor but merely a farm) in the township of Sutton; the original seat of the Downes family & one of those Manors which was formerly held by the service of free forestry. I remain/Sir/Your much obligd humble Servt.

Danl. Lysons.
