Edwardi tertii 28) Suitor: 1.Geoffrey de Stanlegh' Juror: The bailiff of the manor of Macclesfeld [Macclesfield]. Pledge for Fine. William Joudrel. Admittance at 12s. 2d.per annum (Fine 12s.2d) to all the tenements which belonged to Richard de Bromhale in Dysteslegh' [Disley], seised into the hand of the earl of Cestr' [Chester] because Geoffrey son and heir of Richard de Bromhale has defaulted in rendering service for them for two years, as was proclaimed in court here by virtue of a writ of the said earl to the bailiff of the afsd. manor. Latin Mark: I. d. 4. Distlegh.
Physical Description	Parchment: 1 membrane 10" wide by 4½", seal tongue and thong joined left. Seal pendant on tongue, yellow, originally round but edges chipped off save at top; heraldic. Device: Within an eight pointed star a shield, three leopards passant (Exchequer of Chester seal).
