TitleLetter from Major Dixon (Paymaster of the 7th Royal Fusiliers) to Thomas Hibbert
Date7 Sep 1855
Description "Today at noon we stormed the Redan and I am sorry to say that your son Captain Hibbert was wounded. He was struck by a musket ball on the crown of his head, which has of course wounded him rather severely. I am however glad to be able to inform you that the Doctor has just dressed it and forms the most favourable opinion of it."
