TitleWINSFORD CENTRAL (PRIMITIVE METHODIST) CIRCUIT (1868-1956)
Administrative HistoryWinsford and Tarporley Primitive Methodist Circuit was formed in 1868 out of Nantwich and Crewe Circuit. Winsford and Tarporley became separate Circuits in 1899. Following the Methodist Union in 1932 the Winsford Circuit was known as Winsford Central Circuit. In 1956 Winsford Central Circuit united with Winsford St. Paul's (former United Methodist) Circuit and the Winsford section of Northwich London Road (former Wesleyan) Circuit to form the Winsford Methodist Circuit. The Central Methodist Church was demolished by 1979.
