Administrative HistoryVale Royal Borough Council was established in 1974 following the Local Government Act 1972 and was replaced by Cheshire West and Chester Council (along with Chester City Council, Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council and Cheshire County Council) in the Local Government reorganisation of April 2009.
