DescriptionThe release being a conveyance from Thomas Jackson of Chester, linen draper, to George Lowe of Chester, goldsmith, John Jones of Chester, linen draper, Henry Bowers of Chester, druggist, George Walker of Chester, wine merchant, Robert Shearing of Chester, druggist, Robert Parry, of Chester, currier, Thomas Shone of Lower Kinnerton, Cheshire, gent., Samuel Williams of Chester, linen draper, Samuel Beckett of Chester, yeoman, Thomas Jones of Chester, gent., Joseph Bettley of Chester, cordwainer, John Hitchen of Alpraham, Cheshire, gent., John Reece of Tarvin, Cheshire, miller and James Sale of Duddon Heath, Cheshire, yeoman, of a messuage on the W. side of St. John Street, now or late in the tenure of Robert Fearnall, butcher; also a room adjoining the city walls, now or late in the tenure of Elizabeth Lowe, widow; a piece of land on the W. side of St. John Street whereon lately stood several messuages etc. in the tenure of Elizabeth Eaton, widow, John Saunders, William Jones, Messrs. Moulson and Company and John Edwards. To hold the said property in trust to demolish the same and erect a chapel `to be used as a meeting house for the worship of Almighty God, by the Religious Society called Methodists in the Connection of the late Rev. John Wesley'. Also detailed provisions for the establishment, organisation and administration of the church and its property. Consideration: £1300.
