DescriptionAWARD by Master James Denton, Doctor and Dean of Lychefild, and John Russell esq., 2 of the King's Commissioners in the Marches of Wales, in a dispute between Randulphe Brereton of Malpas esq, and Thomas Hannell and Joyes his wife, concerning title to lands and tenements in EGGE [Edge], LARTON, BICKERTON, MALPAS and MASFEN [Macefen] now in the possession of the said Randulphe. The Arbitrators award in favour of the said Randulphe and direct that the said Thomas and his wife appear at the next shire court to be held at Chester after Easter, in order to make further assurance of the premises and to deliver the deeds etc: relating thereto. The said Randulph is to pay an annuity of 26/8, in addition to annuity of 26/8 reserved by a deed of 12. Feb., 1511/12, and £10 for the said assurance and delivery of deeds - £5 at the sealing of the award and £5 on St. Katherine' altar in St. Mary's Parish Church, Chester, on the Thursday after the said shire court.
