DescriptionORDER (Attested copy) of Thomas Egerton, solicitor general and assistant of the Court of Exchequer of the County Palatine of Chester, and John Brograve esq., Attorney of the Duchy of Lancaster, concerning the jurisdiction of the County Palatine of Chester within the liberties of the Manor and Fee of HALTON and CONGLETON; a permanent settlement is postponed until the return of the Rt. Hon. Earl of Leicester, H.M. Chamberlain of the said County Palatine, meanwhile the process of the Exchequer and County Palatine is to be executed there as before; the causes pending in the said Court of Exchequer against Robert Whitby, deputy steward of Halton, John Smith, mayor of Congleton, and others, are not to be proceeded with until the end of the Easter Term.
