DescriptionGRANT in fee, by Hawisia, formerly wife of William de Hellesby to Sir Peter de Thornton Kt. and Lucy his wife, their heirs and assigns, of all her Manor of HELLESBI [Helsby] with appurtenances as in wastes, woods, plains, moors and marshes and with the homages and services of Hugh de Marburi, Robert de Burwes, Hugh son of Robert de Burwes, John son of Thomas de Burwes, William son of Randle le someter de Hapisford, William son of Robert de Hapisford, Robert son of Henry de Frodesham, Hugh son of James de Welham, Hawisia and Margery daughters of Randle son of Randle de Acton, with wardships, marriages, reliefs, escheats and all other profits of the manor of Hellesbi. Warranty. Witnesses: Sir William de Clynton, then justiciar of Chester, Sir John de Ardene, Sir Geoffrey de Werburton, Kts., William Jerard, Robert de Manlegh, Richard Doune de Crouton. Given at Hellesby the Tuesday next after the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Mary the Virgin, 1332. Seal: White, illegible. Parchment.
