[1]Since Party 1, Richard of Davenport of Bolyn [Bollin] holds a certain
[2] messuage for a yearly term with adjacent lands and tenements in Mottram St Andrew of John of Mottram which
[3] messuage Richard Blagge lately held which messuage with appurtenances the said John of Mottram alienated to party 2 John Savage, his
[4] heirs and assigns forever, party 1 has appointed a day for completion of the presents in the session of eyre in the hundred-court at
[5] Macclesfeld [Macclesfield] in the presence of John Pygot, John of Legh [Leigh] of Bothes [Knutsford Booths], Henry of Byrtles [Birtles], and others, by virtue of the said alienation to John Savage
[6] by means of service, and party 1 has thereby become his tenant in perpetuity. Given
[7] at Macclesfeld' [Macclesfield] on Monday following the feast of St. Mark the Apostle, in the twelfth year of the reign of King Henry the Fourth, after the conquest.
