[1] Thomas, son of Roger of Mottram to Edmund, son of Edmund of Mattram, and Margery, daughter of Vivian
[2] of Foywist, all his lands and tenements which are called 'Thome Ruyding' [Thomas's Ryding] in the vill of Mottram with appurtenances as it is enclosed without any withholding/retention . To be had and held [Foxwist]
[3] of the chief lords by services which pertain to the said tenements to the said Edmund and Margery and their lawfully issued heirs, freely, quietly, well and in peace, with all
[4] liberties, commodities and approvements wherever they pertain to the said lands. And should the said Edmund and Margery die without lawfully issued heir
[5] the said land with its appurtenances shall remain in perpetuity to William, brother of the said Edmund. To be had and held of the chief lords to William and his lawful heirs. And should William die without heir
[6] the said lands with appurtenances remain to John, brother of the said William. To be had and held of the chief lords to John and his lawful heirs by
[7] by hereditary right in perpetuity. And should John die without lawful heir the said lands with appurtenances shall remain to Robert, brother of the said John.
[8] To be had and held of the chief lords to the aforesaid and his lawful heirs fully, hereditarily and in perpetuity. Warranty clause.
