[1] Party 1, Elena, wife of the late Hugh Balle, in pure widowhood, grants to [2] Party 2, Hugh Dod, her son, all her messuages, lands and tenements, rents and services with their appurtenances which she holds in [3] Middle Aldersey, in the county of Chester, to hold to [4] Hugh and the heirs of his body lawfully procreated, to hold of the chief lords of those fees by customary rights and services [5-6] if Hugh should die without heir lawfully procreated, remainder to William, son of Thomas Dod, to hold to him and his heirs of his body lawfully procreated, [7] if William should die without lawful heir [8-9] reversion to Elena, her heirs and assigns.
