Indenture by which John son of Richard de Rylondes quitclaimed to the abbot & convent of Cokresand all his claims in the wood & waste of Halghton & gave them power to assart & enclose from the wood waste & pasture, saving to John & his heirs & tenants reasonable common pasture & housebold & haybold, except from the wood of Droneshop. He excluded himself & his successors from all actions at law by the present charter. Announcement of seals. Witnessed by Henry de Malton, sheriff of Lancaster, Richard de Hilton, Henry de Adthirton, Gilbert de Culchum, John le Jeu & others. Given at Cokresand. Seal in light coloured wax, on a tag. Latin. Top margin indented & lettered.
