| Description | These documents, mostly in Latin, are drafts of returns by the sheriffs to writs. Some returns include inquisitions concerning real or personal estate seized or valued by the sheriffs whilst executing the writ. There are also copies of writs and original and draft warrants. These documents were found in two bundles covering the same period. They have been re-arranged chronologically in one series. |
