Indictment that William Griffeth of Chester, butcher, alias Dennis Grifeth of Chester on [part of document cut away] Jan. 1560/1 made an assault on Peter Manywaringe and took 10 sheep belonging to the said Peter, grazing in a close belonging to Ranulph Manywaringe, alderman, [called] Conygreys haye, and took them as far as the park of the city of Chester called Northgate diche.

Indictment that John Parr of Chester, labourer, on 3 Nov. 1563 in Chester stole a black heifer, 'iuvencam', worth 26s. 8d., belonging to Thomas Mavrye, and that George Tynker of Handbridge, butcher, on 4 Nov. 1563 in Chester received the same, knowing it to have been stolen by the said John Parr.

Jan. 1567/8 in Chester stole one [illegible] worth 4d., one gold chain worth £20; one pair of [illegible] 'brasselets' worth £4; 8 pieces of gold called 'soueraines' worth £4; 2 pieces of gold called 'old angelles' worth 30s., 6 pieces called 'french crownes' worth 36s.; 4 pieces of gold called 'english crownes' worth 20s.; one piece of gold called a 'crewsadow' worth 6s. 4d.; one piece of gold called a 'half english crowne' worth 2s. 6d., and also 14s. in a purse belonging to Raphael Hollyngworth.
